WiPro easy - Operating instructions

1.0 General description of functions

The WiPro easy is an alarm system specially developed for recreational vehicles. It works without motion detectors, which have to be deactivated while in the vehicle and are often the cause of false alarms. The result is an extremely user-friendly alarm system that will be operated by only one button and virtually eliminates false alarms. The interior is protected by wireless magnetic contacts on windows, doors and hatches. Outside, radio cable loops can be used to secure e.g. bicycles. The system is operated via a THITRONIK® wireless remote control. If a secured access is opened when the alarm system is activated, the WiPro easy indicates this by switching on the siren and flashing the status LED. The alarm uses up the legally permitted limit of 30 seconds for the siren. After this legally prescribed maximum duration has elapsed, as well as an alarm pause of 30 seconds, the WiPro easy is automatically armed again.

Installation instructions and connections

2.0 Handling the System

Please read the following instructions carefully to avoid operating errors.

2.1 Operation with the THITRONIK® wireless remote control

Both buttons of the wireless remote control arm or disarm the system depending on the previous status.

The upper button with the crossed-out loudspeaker symbol does not give any acoustic feedback. When the lower button is used, a short acoustic feedback sounds for both states of the alarm system via the interior siren. When the system is armed, this is acknowledged with a single short tone and continuous flashing of the LED. When the system is disarmed, two short tones are played and the LED stops flashing.

2.2 Triggering the panic alarm

If people are in the vehicle and feel threatened, it is recommended to use the panic alarm function to attract attention. In the event of a panic alarm, the siren, the optional additional/back-up siren and the LED are activated for 30 seconds, as in the regular alarm case. No alarm is triggered when the ignition is switched on! Pressing both buttons for just under one second will trigger the alarm in the armed and disarmed state. To stop the alarm, press any button on the THITRONIK® wireless remote control.

2.3 Signal "contact open" (Vent Check/ventilation function)

Vent Check

If the status LED lights up continuously for 60 seconds when arming or activating the ignition, this means that at least one of the wireless magnetic contacts is open.

If none of the wireless magnetic contacts is intentionally open, the secured windows, doors and hatches must be checked. In contrast to car alarm systems, it may well be desirable in a motorhome or caravan to leave one of the windows open while all the others, windows, doors and hatches are monitored. For example, to ventilate the vehicle.

Ventilation function

With the system out of focus, open the desired window and activate the system as described in 2.1.

- The status LED is activated for 60 seconds, but the system is armed and monitors all other wireless magnetic contacts that have been taught-in. If the window is closed before this time has elapsed and/or the ignition is deactivated, the LED turns off prematurely. If the window is closed while the system is activated, no alarm is triggered. Only if it will be opened again after 5 seconds have gone by and the ignition is deactivated, an alarm will be triggered. This prevents false alarms if you unintentionally trigger the wireless magnetic contact several times when closing the window.

If the window is closed when the system is activated, no alarm is triggered. Only if it is opened again after 5 seconds does this trigger the alarm. This prevents false alarms if the wireless magnetic contact is triggered several times unintentionally when closing the window.

2.4 Changing the battery for accessories

Caution! Danger of explosion if the battery is not replaced properly! Recycle used batteries. Once an accessory has been teached in, it does not have to be teached in again after changing the battery. To prevent damage to the electronics due to static discharge, they must be earthed in advance to a vehicle part carrying earth (door hinge, negative connection of the cigarette lighter). To do this, simply touch the electronics.

2.4.1 THITRONIK® wireless remote control

  1. Remove the screw on the back of the wireless remote control and carefully prise open the housing via the recessed notch on the lower side of the housing cover.
  2. Remove the circuit board and remove the battery from the holder.
  3. Replace the removed battery with a battery of the same type (CR2032), observing the correct polarity. Observe the marking on the battery holder!
  4. first place the circuit board in the housing cover, and when inserting the cover, look for the two short ridges to snap into the housing before pressing the housing parts together with slight pressure. Finally, screw the housing back on.

2.4.2 Wireless magnetic contact

  1. Open the housing by gently levering it over the notch on the side of the housing.
  2. Remove the printed circuit board and remove the battery from the holder.
  3. Replace it with a battery of the same type (CR2032), observing the correct polarity. Observe the marking on the battery holder!
  4. put the circuit board together with the housing cover back into the housing and press it together until it noticeably clicks into place. Make sure that the circuit board does not rotate between the edges beforehand.

2.4.3 Radio cable loop

  1. Remove the two screws on the bottom of the radio cable loop and open the housing.
  2. Remove the battery from the holder without pulling the circuit board out of the housing.
  3. Replace it with a battery of the same type (CR2032), observing the correct polarity. Observe the marking on the battery holder!
  4. insert the black seal into the housing cover and screw the housing back on. Do not overtighten the screws, otherwise the seal will be damaged and may leak.

2.5 Procedure of an intrusion alarm

If, with the system armed and the ignition deactivated, an access secured with a wireless magnetic contact is opened, a cable loop is cut or removed from the holder, this is indicated by the system as an intrusion alarm. The alarm is signalled by switching on the siren in the interior, as well as the optionally selected second siren outside for 30 seconds. In addition, the status LED flashes quickly. After the full 30 seconds of an alarm cycle have elapsed, the WiPro easy is armed again after an alarm pause of approx. 30 seconds. It then reacts to renewed intrusion attempts as previously described.

2.6 Interrupting an intrusion alarm

Pressing any button on the THITRONIK® wireless remote control interrupts the alarm and disarms the system. Unlike the WiPro III / WiPro III safe.lock, the system switches without acoustic feedback when disarming with both buttons! Only the alarm is terminated and the alarm system is then in the disarmed state.

2.7 Using the radio cable loop correctly (accessory)

The THITRONIK® radio cable loop can be plugged into the mounting bracket when the system is armed or disarmed. In addition to bicycles and scooters, camping furniture, surfboards and many other movable objects can also be secured. If the cable loop is placed in the mounting bracket, cutting the cable or removing it from the mounting bracket will cause the alarm to start.

2.8 Using the backup siren (accessory)

The backup siren has an integrated battery that is charged from the on-board battery. If the system triggers an alarm, the backup siren will sound. The backup siren also sounds if the power supply fails (sabotage alarm). The backup siren has a key switch on the back of the unit. Keep the corresponding key in a safe place so that you can deactivate the siren for service purposes.
