Product description
The THITRONIK® safe.lock module is a retrofit module exclusively designed for the Fiat Ducato and identically built vehicles as well as Iveco models made in 2006 and later. These vehicles are affected by a security gap that makes them vulnerable to replay attacks.
Well protected from replay attacks
With so-called replay attacks, attackers record the vehicle unlocking radio signal and can play it back later to access your vehicle. Because they leave no traces of break-in, insurance companies deny to compensate for the damage done. Vehicles affected by this security gap communicate via an uncoded radio signal which makes such attacks possible. The safe.lock module closes this security gap with constantly changing rolling codes.
Replay attacks: Things you should know

Easy conversion – enhanced security
The safe.lock module closes the security gap in the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Jumper and Iveco Daily as of model year 2006. For these vehicles, the module serves as a supplement to the original vehicle-side central locking system. The supplied conversion circuit board is integrated into your vehicle remote control key and replaces the previous electronics.

safe.lock Premium Partner
To use the converted vehicle key, you will then need a safe.lock Premium Partner or a suitable lock and key service to copy the immobiliser transponder, since this is not within scope. This transponder is inserted into the depression in the original key housing. The vehicle can now be operated safely with the vehicle key and the THITRONIC® radio remote control (optional).

Secure coding
After installation of the module and the conversion board, the vehicle key and the central locking system communicate solely via constantly changing codes. Through 4 billion codes, each locking and unlocking code is used just once – replay attacks are no longer possible.
Notes on the safe.lock module
The supplied conversion circuit board is suitable for 2- and 3-button remote controls: Differentiation between front and back unlocking is technically not possible. The entire vehicle is unlocked in both cases. Control of the deadlock (optional feature on vehicle) is not possible. The module is intended for standalone operation and cannot be used to enhance a WiPro III.
